Our current activities:

Important activities of the Association are engaging with key stakeholders such as the European Union; supporting our Members to foster successful businesses and operations across Europe; promoting professional standards in WEEE recycling; the dissemination of publications, documents and studies of common interest; and the organisation of meetings and conferences and dinners for networking and the exchange of information and ideas.

We provide a Members only area where all of our past publications and reports and papers are available along with newsletters and minutes of meetings etc.

Our work includes a number of Special Interest Groups that carry out research, provide good practice information, and share issues and solutions on topics of concern including:

  • Plastics - POP, REACH and RoHS regulations and directives and international proposals

  • Batteries in WEEE - such as fire prevention techniques and handling and consignment information

  • EN standards for preparing for re-use and treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment

  • Circular economy issues and updates - including corporate sustainability and Green Deal initiatives

  • Health & Safety – shared incidents and good practice

New topics or ideas can be raised at Member Meetings, including having dedicated Country specific groups and projects to look at the impact of local/national legislation and rules.
